First of all, I must say that while the hotels industry was making progress through the industry of free travel certificates in order to fill the last places left in low season, the airlines industry seemed to do not care about that. And sincerely speaking, they should care more than anybody. Free return flights is from today a reality. On the other side, as it is from today, I must say that we must wait for some weeks from the dates when this article was written to see companies offering these certificates as incentives for joining for free their mailing list or for determined purchases.

Free Return Flight Travel Certificates sounds good… But how much can I believe in them and their price?

Unfortunately for all of us, I always have to say that provided that there is people in this world that always tries to get more and more benefits, this industry can be unreliable depending on the situation. For example, there is people who get the distribution rights for the travel certificates and they want then to sell them to customers. It seems they don’t understand that the meaning of a travel certificate is that is given away for free after an action done by a customer or simply somebody that is browsing your web-page. From my point of view, I give away all travel certificates for free, simply filling a registration form, but many people out there is selling certificates, which is something completely illegal.

So, which are these certificates?

In any case, and coming back to the topic itself, it seems that finally a company which name I will not mention here which has been recently leading in the field of travel certificates has created a couple of new certificates that are useful for flying away. One of them allows you to fly to many US and Canada destination from any main airport in the US or Canada for free, only paying the airport taxes and a redemption fee of $30. Included in the certificate, you also have a free stay at a 4-stars hotel at the city of your choice for 2 nights.

As you can see, the point of this certificates is that it is ideal for escaping during a weekend with your partner, as the certificate is valid for 2 persons.

In the same way, another travel certificate that has just been launched today offers a free round-trip trip (as well paying only taxes and redemption fee of $30) that you can use for travel to any worldwide destination by plane and come back. Departures are recommended from the US, but are available from everywhere on the world paying some extra charges.

Are there any extra hidden charges or sales presentations you are forced to attend or…?

Unfortunately in this business, many people take the opportunity to sell something to you, being aware that after giving away a travel certificate to you for free you will probably be in a better mood to buy. High pressure sales presentation are one of the bad points of travel certificates but I know some companies that play fair and offer real deals.

Which are then the reliable places?

If I said I’m the only one who distributes free travel certificates I would be lying, I know at least another 2 places that do so. Even if it is rare, you can find people who is not money obsessed who will be happy just gaining the redemption fees when you change your certificate for travel. Try to look for this guys as much as you can. This people will even help you if your certificate has expired and will give you a new one, something which has happened to me twice. As a general and final recommendation, I would encourage you to never pay for a travel certificate. If you find somebody who tells you to buy a travel certificate, I recommend to contact this person and tell him or her that you can get the certificate for free at another place but you like his web-page and would like to get the certificate from him or her. This normally puts people on the right place and you could get a deal.
